Unsupported Fire OS System - 5.2.9.5

Modified on Fri, 4 Jul at 1:28 PM

The operating system 5.2.9.5 is outdated software that Amazon itself has stopped supporting.
As Amazon has stopped releasing official updates, we can't guarantee that GAA+ will work on those devices. The latest Fire OS version for the Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd Generation) and Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Generation) is FireOS 8.1.3.3 (26844266884). The Fire TV Stick 4K (1st Generation), Fire TV Stick 4K Max (1st Generation), and Fire TV Stick (3rd Generation) run FireOS 7.6.9.0 (32381234308).

We officially support the current version and the one prior to the current version.

Below is information from Amazon.

Fire OS 5.2.9.5 is the operating system version for some earlier-generation Amazon Fire TV devices, including the Amazon Fire TV (2nd Generation) and Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote. However, support for these devices and this OS version was discontinued on November 30, 2024. This means that apps may no longer be compatible, and the device may no longer be receiving official updates. If you have a Fire TV device running 5.2.9.5, consider upgrading to a newer model or exploring alternative streaming solutions.

If this is the OS version your Fire device is, there are a number of other ways to access our service - on our website, mobile apps (which you can cast to your TV from Chromecast/Airplay) or other on-tv apps (Roku, Apple TV, Google TV, Samsung TV, LG TV).
