I'm abroad but my device thinks I'm on the island of Ireland. What can I do?

Games and highlight shows produced by RTÉ and TG4 and televised by BBC NI are not available to view on our service on the island of Ireland (NI & ROI) therefore, you may encounter issues accessing content produced by those broadcasters on GAA+ when abroad if you are using an Irish mobile data roaming connection.

This is because whilst roaming, your network still provides you with an Irish IP address so your location will be picked up as the island of Ireland, not the country you are in. This is easily fixed.

To ensure your location is read correctly:

1. Turn off mobile data

2. Connect to a local WiFi connection

3. If you are A. using our website, clear your internet browser cookies and cache then refresh the page, if you're B. using one of our mobile apps close the app, follow steps 1 & 2 above then and reopen it

This should cause your location to be picked up correctly and allow you to access the content on our service.
