Island of Ireland (ROI & NI)

Accessing on the island of Ireland:

As the All-Ireland games and associated highlight shows are carried by RTÉ on the island of Ireland (NI & ROI) you will not be able to access the content on our service but will be able to watch them via RTÉ's services.

  • Users in ROI can watch on the relevant TV channel free-to-air or via the RTÉ Player free-of-charge.
  • Users in NI can watch via the RTÉ Player free-of-charge.

If you are a Season Pass holder, as outlined in the description of your package, your pass grants you access to the GAA+ Exclusive games on our service during the Championship stage of the season in which you purchase the pass package. Access to RTÉ, TG4, and BBC NI broadcasts is not included in this package due to content produced by those broadcasters being blocked from view on our service on the island of Ireland (the territory this pass was designed for) in line with viewing rights restrictions in place in the territory.

Great Britain (England, Scotland & Wales)

  • If you are in Great Britain at the time of the All-Ireland games, you won't be able to access the games on our service but will be able to access them free-to-air on the relevant BBC TV channel or free-of-charge via the BBC iPlayer.
  • If you are travelling on the island of Ireland (NI & ROI) at the time of the All-Ireland games you will not be able to access them on our service due to viewing rights restrictions in place in the territory but will be able to watch the game and associated highlight shows elsewhere. If in Republic of Ireland (ROI) at the time of the finals, you will be able to access free-to-air on the relevant RTÉ TV channel free-of-charge via the RTÉ Player. If in Northern Ireland (NI) at the time of the finals, you have the option to access via RTÉ's or BBC's services (RTÉ Player, BBC TV channel / iPlayer)

If you are an Annual Pass GB holder, as outlined in the description of your pass package, your pass includes access to all content on GAA+ except games televised by BBC during the Championship stage of the season due to rights restrictions. This includes the All-Ireland Semi and Final games.

Rest of World

  • If you are located outside of Ireland and the UK at the time of the All-Ireland games, you will be able to access the games and associated highlight shows on our service.
  • If traveling on the island of Ireland (NI & ROI) at the time of the All Ireland games you will be blocked from viewing the games and associated highlight shows on our service as RTÉ hold the viewing rights to those games in that territory but you will be able to watch the content free-to-air on the relevant RTÉ TV channel or free-of-charge via the RTÉ Player
  • If you are in Great Britain at the time of the All-Ireland games, you won't be able to access the games on our service but will be able to access them free-to-air on the relevant BBC TV channel or free-of-charge via the BBC iPlayer.

If you are an Annual Pass holder, as outlined in the description of your pass package, this pass grants you access to all content on our service.

Accessing from abroad – island of Ireland & GB customers

If you are ordinarily based on the island of Ireland (NI & ROI) or Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) where the All-Ireland Semi and Final games are blocked from view on our service due to viewing rights restrictions in place in those territories, but are outside of those territories at the time of the All-Ireland games, you will be able to access the games on our service once your location is read correctly but may run into some issues if you are attempting to access our service whilst connected to a mobile data (roaming) connection.

The reason for this is whilst roaming, your network still provides you with an Irish/British IP address so it will read that you are in IE/UK, not the country you are currently in.

To ensure your location is read correctly please follow these steps:

1. Turn off mobile data on your device

2. Connect to a local Wi-Fi source

3. If using the website clear your browser cookies and cache, refresh the page then log back into the site

4. If using the app, close it, follow steps 1 & 2 and reopen the app

If after following these steps you have any issues accessing the game(s) please do not hesitate to email our Support Team on help@gaaplus.ie

Pass Holders:

If you are an Annual Pass GB or Season Pass holder, access to these games is not included in your pass package, as such if you are outside those territories at the time of the games you should be able to access them on our service but need to purchase access additionally.
