How to purchase a pass or a standalone game as a gift?

Standalone Purchase:

If you are buying the game as a gift, scroll down past the payment section and select the 'BUY AS GIFT' option, enter the required information on the page you are redirected to and click 'CREATE ACCOUNT AND BUY' 

You (the gifter) will then be sent an email with an activation link to the gift pass. Please forward this onto the intended giftee for them to activate their gift, do not activate the gift through the gift link yourself. We (GAA+) will not contact the giftee with this. If you cannot see the email in your main inbox please check your spam/junk mail folder.

A Pass / Bundle:

If you are buying the pass/bundle as a gift, scroll down past the payment section and select the 'BUY AS GIFT' option and you will be redirected.

In order to purchase the gift you will need to sign in to your account/create an account for yourself.

Then enter the requested details about the giftee and your payment details then click 'CREATE ACCOUNT AND BUY'

You (the gifter) will then be sent an email

If I gift a purchase for a friend, do I need to tell them or does GAA+?

Once you purchase a gift for a friend, you need to tell them yourself. 
 
GAA+ will send the gift activation email to the email address of the person who has bought the gift (you), you must then forward the gift email to the recipient (your friend). 
 
GAA+ will not contact the person receiving the gift regarding your gift purchase.

If I gift a purchase to a friend, do they have to be in the same country?

You can purchase the gift of a package or standalone game for someone living in any part of the world, they do not have to be in the same country as you. 
 
Please be aware if gifting a pass or standalone game to friends or family in Great Britain that certain games (televised BBC broadcasts) are not available to view on our service in GB due to rights restrictions. Similarly, users based on the island of Ireland (NI & ROI) can only access GAA+ exclusive games on our service, not content produced by RTÉ, TG4 or BBC NI.

Please note, our content is geo-blocked, which means you will only see game listings and pass package options for your territory.

If you wish to gift someone access to a game that's not accessible on our service in your location or a pass package suitable for someone located outside of the island of Ireland, please email our Support Team on help@gaaplus.ie and they will assist you with making the purchase.
