Pass Holders - Accessing All-Ireland Games in GB

Season Pass Holder

If you are Season Pass holder, as outlined in the description of your package, your pass grants you access to the GAA+ Exclusive games on our service during the Championship stage of the season in which you purchase the pass package. Access to RTÉ, TG4, and BBC NI broadcasts is not included in this package due to content produced by those broadcasters being blocked from view on our service on the island of Ireland (the territory this passed was designed for) in line with viewing rights restrictions in place in the territory, which is reflected in the price of the pass. 


Accessing on the island of Ireland:

As the All-Ireland games and associated highlight shows are carried by RTÉ on the island of Ireland (NI & ROI) you will not be able to access the content on our service but will be able to watch them via RTÉ's services. 

  • Users in ROI can watch on the relevant TV channel free-to-air or via the RTÉ Player free-of-charge.
  • Users in NI can watch via the RTÉ Player free-of-charge. 


Accessing outside of the island of Ireland / GB:

If you are travelling outside of the Ireland of Ireland and Great Britain at the time of the All-Ireland Games, you will be able tp access the games and associated highlight shows on our service once your location is plcked up correctly (see: How do I make sure my location is picked up correctly?) but as access to them is not included in yoru pass package you will be required to purchase access to them additionally wish to watch an item of content produced by one of those broadcasters whilst traveling outside of the island of Ireland you will be able to access it on our service once your location is picked up correctly but will not have automatic access to them (as they are not included in your package) and be required to purchase access to such content additionally. 

  • Travelling outside of IE & GB - You will be able to access the games and associated highlight shows on our service (GAA+)
  • Traveling in GB (England, Scotland and Wales) - you will be able to access the games via BBC's services and the associated highlight shows via our service (GAA+)


Annual Pass GB Holder

If you are an Annual Pass GB holder, as outlined in the description of your pass package, your pass includes access to all content on GAA+ except games televised by BBC during the Championship stage of the season due to rights restrictions. This includes the All-Ireland Semi and Final games.

  • If you are in Great Britain at the time of the All-Ireland games, you won't be able to access the games on our service but will be able to access them free-to-air on the relevant BBC TV channel or free-of-charge via the BBC iPlayer.
  • If you are traveling outside of Ireland and the UK at the time of the All-Ireland games, you will be able to access the All-Ireland games on our service once your location is picked up correctly (see: How do I make sure my location is picked up correctly?) but will be required to purchase access to the games additionally as access to them is not included in your pass package. You will still be able to access the associatd highlight shows on our service as they are prodiuced by RTÉ and this uncluded in your pass package.
  • If you are traveling on the island of Ireland (NI & ROI) at the time of the All-Ireland games will not be able to access them on our service due to viewing rights restrictions in place in the territory but will be able to watch the game and associated highlight shows elsewhere. If in Republic of Ireland (ROI) at the time of the finals, you will be able to access free-to-air on the relevant RTÉ TV channel ot free-of-charge via the RTÉ Player. If in Northern Ireland (NI) at the time of the finals, you have the option to access via RTÉ's or BBC's services (RTÉ Player, BBC TV channel / iPlayer)


Annual Pass Holders 

As outlined in the description of your pass package, this pass grants the holder access to all content on our service.

  • If you are located outside of Ireland and the UK at the time of the All-Ireland games, you will be able to access the games and associated highlight shows on our service.
  • If traveling on the island of Ireland (NI & ROI) at the time of the All Ireland games you will be blocked from viewing the games and associated highlight shows on our service as RTÉ hold the viewing rights to those games in that territory but you will be able to watch the content free-to-air on the relevant RTÉ TV channel or free-of-charge via the RTÉ Player
  • If you are in Great Britain at the time of the All-Ireland games, you won't be able to access the games on our service but will be able to access them free-to-air on the relevant BBC TV channel or free-of-charge via the BBC iPlayer.
